A taste of Sooth Root...

Sooth Roots workshops focus on three elements often woven together. Storytelling, nature connection and creativity using natural or repurposed materials. 

This video shows - discovering the natural pigments from stones in the stream.

 

A community made piece of nature art made as part of a Bowden Pillars Futures consultation day.

 

A 1:1 workshop creating a talismanic piece of jewellery and blessing it in nature.

 

A collaboration with potter Tati Dennehy. Beginning wiht nature connection to connect to the land, then digging and proccessing it, during the creation of pieces i told the story of the Black VEnus of Dolni Vestonice - a tale woven from archelogical finds and the story they tell. 

A collaboration wiht nature connection guide Emma Capper. I told the story of Vasilisa the Brave, we created dolls inspired by the doll in the story and worked wiht those dolls whilst also connectin to nature.

A collaboration wiht artist Adriana Banari. I told the story of Taliesin from here the particiapnts created collages inspired by the idea of shapeshifting present in the story.
